July 2007 Events

A little belated, seeing as a quarter of it has passed, but anyway this month there will be 4 events to look forward to:

9 to 11 July: Magic: The Workshop 2 (1.00 to 5.00 pm each day at DSA Wisma HELP)

Registration unnecessary, open to all HELP staff and students, participation is free.

9 July:     How to Play, Important Terms, Player Types

10 July:   Deckbuilding Discussions – Building for Standard, Block, Sealed
Deck,  Draft, etc

                Types of Drafts/ Tournaments

11 July: Deckbuilding Practicals

   *Participants are encouraged to bring their own cards to build a deck. Cards will also be available for sale there.

13 July: HELP Closed Magic: the Gathering Tournament (12.30 to 5.00 pm at DSA Wisma HELP)

Open to all HELP Staff and Students.

Registration fee: RM25 (for 3 booster packs).

Registration Deadline: 11 July, please pay fees at registration (at any DSA).

Format: Time Spiral Block 3 booster, 6 person draft; 4 Swiss rounds followed by single elimination.

Winners may be selected for the HELP Magic Team.

21 July: HELP Closed Carrom Tournament (9.00 am at DSA Main Block)

Open to all HELP Staff and Students

Registration Fee: RM 3.

Registration Deadline: 18 July, please pay fees at registration (at any DSA).

Winners may be selected for the HELP Carrom Team.

28 July: HELP Closed Scrabble Tournament (9.00 am at DSA Wisma HELP)

Open to all HELP Staff and Students

Registration Fee: RM 3.

Registration Deadline: 25 July, please pay fees at registration (at any DSA).

Winners may be selected for the HELP Scrabble Team.
