HIGS 2007, we’re back!

after a month-long “hiatus” (we took a public break, but changes behind the scenes), HIGS is now back. and as tradition holds it, we’re in a hurry, AGAIN. with 50+ members on our membership list, we’d like to have you all reaffirm it… *plus snippets of what’s to come!

Event: Chess Workshops
Fees: rm5 per session, rm8 for any 2 sessions, rm9 for all 3 sessions.

in anticipation of the upcoming HELP Closed Chess Tournament, aimed at selecting the HELP chess team, HIGS present the Chess workshop. for beginers, advanced players and experts alike. to be conducted by A.W.Onn, a Malaysian National Player. Details are as follows…

Event: HELP Clubs & Societies Mass Membership Drive
Venue: Main Block Lower Foyer (8^th), Wisma HELP DSA (9^th)
Time: 10am – 3pm

HIGS will have a booth there, come hear about our coming activities! for the new, perhaps ask about yesteryear? we’ll have some games on demo too! most importantly, come sign-up with us! for old members, we’d appreciate it if you’d re-affirm you’re still with us. those who do not re-affirm will be depreciated from the memberlist. there are now individual playgroups for the more popular games, please check with these groups if there are any extra fees to be paid.

Event: HELP Closed Chess Tournament
Venue: Main Block DSA
Time: 9am onwards

this tournament is open to all HELP students and staff. prizes included. the purpose of this tournament is to identify HELP’s best chess players, of the students, 5 or more will be shortlisted for weekly training to be part of the HELP chess team. an Arbiter will be present.
