Nov’ Workshops: MtG & Go

This November, HIGS’ll be running TWO workshops. Each workshop will cover aspects of gameplay, theories, a practical session, game appreciation info, and some take-homes! On the 17 November 2006 a Magic the Gathering Workshop will be held; 24 November 2006 will be a Go (WeiQi) Workshop. Both workshops will be held on a Friday, 13:00 ~ 17:00 @Wisma HELP, DSA. Everyone’s invited; from beginers, to seasoned players, from newbs to the pros… it’s a chance to share aboveall.

NON-STUDENTS FROM HELP ATTEND FREE!

Please register early; by the Wednesday of each week’s workshop. That’s 15 Nov and 22 Nov respectively. Please refer to our college-wide posters, or eMail us at higs.help@gmail.com Pricing will be as follows:

MtG workshop – 17 November 2006

Go workshop – 24 November 2006
An ancient oriental strategy game; that’s zero-sum, deterministic board game of perfect information.

• 13:30 – Tutoring & Practicals
• 16:00 – Lecture, extended strategies

*Fees (10% discount for HIGS members):

• Basic: rm5.00 includes take-homes
• Big Pack: rm50.00 includes take-homes & 1 Go board; if you’re in love… with the game.

well, we’ve already done this before, only this coming Wednesday is Clubs & Societies Day @ADP, KPD E. a sorta major thing for clubs to do some promo. well yeah we’ll be there, find some booth with a pile of games on demo, a few raving gamers, and you’ve found us. it’s on from 12:00-14:00, 18.10.2006
